Nvidia Moves to Build AI-Native 5G/6G Wireless Stack

Nvidia is collaborating with industry experts from Booz Allen, Cisco, MITRE, ODC, Nokia, and T-Mobile to develop an AI-native wireless stack for 6G networking.

As AI extends beyond smartphones to devices like cameras, augmented-reality glasses, robots, and autonomous vehicles, wireless networks face increasing demand to support billions of connections at unprecedented scale and efficiency, according to Nvidia.

Specialized 6G applications from MITRE and Booz Allen are included, with one such application managing wireless spectrum allocation within a cell site in real-time for seamless connectivity and improved spectral efficiency.

Nvidia stated that T-Mobile expects to begin test deployment next year.
