Qatar Beach Volleyball Duo Wins Newport Beach Elite Title
Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, Qatari Olympic medalists, claimed the title at the Newport Beach Elite event with an undefeated campaign of six victories and only one set dropped.
The duo continued their great form on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, finishing top of the podium in California, ahead of Brazilian duo Evandro Gonçalves and Arthur Lanci, and Chilean cousins Marco and Esteban Grimalt.
This season has been limited for Cherif and Ahmed, with only six appearances on the Beach Pro Tour due to injuries, making their victory even more notable.
