An overturned lorry caused major disruption on the M25, leading to hours of delays.

According to National Highways, delays of an hour against expected travel are still estimated, with normal traffic conditions not expected until between 23:15 and 23:30.

Severe delays due to earlier overturned lorry on M25 anticlockwise from J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange) to J9 A243 (Leatherhead). Congestion to J13 (Staines), with delays through Oxshott, Byfleet, Tolworth and Chessington.

The recovery and clear-up work has been completed, and the M25 has reopened, nearly seven hours after the incident.
