Frank Zappa: Halloween ’78 Live at the Palladium, NY Super Deluxe
The Halloween night of 1978 in New York City showcased Frank Zappa's compositional skill and technical chops with his top-flight band.
This is the fourth Super Deluxe edition of Zappa's Halloween shows, following previous releases of concerts from 1977, 1973, and 1981.
- 1977: included a mask and vinyl suit to go trick-or-treating as Zappa circa Baby Snakes
- 1973: commemorating shows at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre with a “Frankenzappa” costume
- 1981: included a bloodthirsty Count Frankula set
The current set features a diabolical Frank mask, a “grimoire” book with artwork, concert photos by Lynn Goldsmith, and liner notes by Joe Travers, along with five CDs containing over five hours of live concert audio.
