Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is deeply concerned about a bill recently passed by the Lower House of the Uzbek parliament.
The proposed law would ban photographing and filming people in public without their consent, seriously restricting journalists’ work in a country with widespread censorship and surveillance.
Our goal: to leave no breach of freedom of information unreported.
RSF urges the withdrawal of the proposed law to protect freedom of information and promote press freedom.
