A historic building at Glen Helen, the Swiss Chalet, is set to be revitalized as a new farm shop and deli.
The building, owned by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, has been vacant since a fire in 2020.
According to the Isle of Man Farm Shop Company, they will be signing the lease and reopening the chalet.
So it’s been a very busy week at Swiss Chalet. We have been jet washing and cleaning out the fountain ready for its repaint and reopening.
The Swiss Chalet has a rich history, dating back to the 19th century, and has primarily been used as a restaurant and living accommodation.
