A medieval tower near the Roman Forum in Rome, Italy, has partially collapsed during renovation work, resulting in severe injuries and trapping a worker.
According to authorities, one worker was critically injured and another remained trapped for hours. Firefighters used a mobile ladder to attempt a rescue, but another part of the structure collapsed, forcing them to retreat.
Firefighter spokesman Luca Cari confirmed that one worker remained trapped hours after the initial collapse.
