Convatec Group PLC confirmed a 1% to 2% revenue hit from a US pricing decision.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services decided on a revised payment rate of $127.28 per square centimeter for skin substitutes in wound care, effective January 1, 2026.
The CMS currently treats skin substitutes as biologicals for the purposes of Medicare payments.
In July, the CMS proposed reducing Medicare spending on skin substitutes by reclassifying them as incident-to supplies, which would reduce spending by almost 90%.
Autor summary: Convatec expects modest revenue hit.
