According to Japan's Leisure White Paper 2025, the leisure market scale increased by 5.6% year on year to 75.2 trillion yen in 2024.
Domestic travel was the top activity with 46.8 million participants, followed by watching videos with 26.9 million participants.
The entire leisure market scale in 2024 was up 4% compared to 2019 before the pandemic.
