Curriculum Review Recommendations
The government-commissioned curriculum and assessment review, led by Professor Becky Francis, has made several key policy recommendations.
- Scrap the EBacc accountability measure
- Introduce year 8 "diagnostic" tests in English and maths
- Reduce GCSE exam time by at least 10 per cent
- Replace the key stage 2 grammar, punctuation and spelling test
The review also suggests changes to individual subjects, which can be found here.
