Panthers to Face Wichita Carroll
Great Bend's football team, led by coach Erin Beck, is set to host Wichita Carroll in a second-round 5A playoff game at Memorial Stadium.
The Panthers have a historical significance with Wichita Carroll, having won the 5A state football championship game in 2006 after defeating them 21-14.
"It's 5A West playoff time," said Great Bend football coach Erin Beck. "We're at the point where we'll have to play four quarters. Our kids are fresh and ready to go. The guys cranked it up in the weight room this week. They're getting stronger, which is a good sign."
