Kivi Park and A&M Remediation Celebrate 100,000 Trees Planted

Project touted as one of the most ambitious community-led regreening efforts in Northern Ontario.

Sponsors, community partners, and the city's mayor joined Kivi Park leadership and staff to mark a major milestone: the 100,000th tree planted as part of a regreening initiative.

What began in 2020 as a 10,000-tree project grew rapidly when A&M Remediation President Paul Thususka committed to planting 100,000 trees in five years.

The five-year project was led by A&M Remediation in partnership with Kivi Park. The final 10 trees were planted, with a celebratory lunch provided afterward by local food trucks as a thank you to the many hands and hearts that made this possible.

Author's summary: Kivi Park and A&M Remediation planted 100,000 trees.
