Former Miss USA Noelia Voigt ‘Horrified’ by Miss Universe Executive

Former Miss USA Noelia Voigt expressed strong support for Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch after a Miss Universe executive, Nawat Itsaragrisil, made disrespectful remarks during an event. The incident prompted Bosch and several other contestants to walk out in protest.

Voigt, 26, shared her reaction on Instagram on Wednesday, November 5, writing that she was deeply disturbed by what she had seen online.

“When I woke up yesterday morning and saw the video circulating across the internet showing what happened, I was shocked, disgusted, disappointed and genuinely horrified.”

She reflected on her own experience as Miss USA 2023, explaining that she understood the feeling of being dismissed and devalued in a professional setting.

“As someone who served as Miss USA 2023 and later made the decision to step away from my title, I understand what it feels like when your voice is dismissed and your dignity is demeaned.”

In the widely shared video, Itsaragrisil, 25, was heard calling Bosch a “dumb head,” an insult implying foolishness or lack of intelligence. He then told the contestants:

“You must listen to me first, then argue with me.”

Following backlash, Itsaragrisil apologized, stating that he never intended to offend anyone.

“I think you must understand the pressure is a lot, I am a human sometimes. By the way, I have not intend to hurt anyone.”

In May 2024, Voigt resigned from her Miss USA title to focus on her mental health, a decision that drew widespread support and respect within the pageant community.
