Canon Malaysia has officially introduced the EOS R6 Mark III, a new full-frame mirrorless camera, along with the RF45mm F1.2 STM prime lens. The camera is now open for pre-orders and joins Canon’s growing EOS R lineup.
The EOS R6 Mark III offers a 32.5-megapixel sensor designed to deliver higher resolution and better cropping flexibility. It supports continuous shooting speeds of up to 40 frames per second with the electronic shutter or 12 frames per second using the mechanical shutter. Additionally, it includes a pre-continuous shooting mode that captures up to 20 frames before the shutter is fully pressed.
The camera is equipped with improved autofocus algorithms and a Register People Priority mode. This feature enables accurate subject tracking of specific individuals, especially useful during group or event photography.
In video performance, the EOS R6 Mark III supports internal 7K 60p RAW recording and 3:2 Open Gate format at up to 7K 30p RAW. These capabilities provide filmmakers with more control in post-production and greater flexibility for reframing.
The newly launched RF45mm F1.2 STM lens represents Canon’s widest-aperture non-professional lens to date. Designed as a versatile standard prime, it combines a large aperture with precision optics, ideal for both photography and video production.
“Canon says this is the widest-aperture non-professional lens the company has offered thus far.”
The new EOS R6 Mark III and RF45mm F1.2 STM lens highlight Canon’s commitment to expanding the EOS R series with advanced imaging options for both enthusiasts and professionals.
