Brantford joins communities across Canada in honoring those who have served and continue to serve the country during war and peace.
Citizens are encouraged to attend and pay their respects. Sharon Sayles, communications advisor for the City of Brantford, said:
“We encourage members of our community to join us on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as we remember, with deep respect and immense gratitude, the remarkable sacrifices of others.”
On Tuesday, a walking march including veterans, active service members, first responders, dignitaries, and cadets will begin at Harmony Square and proceed along Dalhousie Street to the Brant War Memorial.
The ceremony starts at 10:50 a.m. and will feature a fly-past by a B-25 Mitchell bomber and an FF46 Firefly aircraft from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, weather permitting.
A student from John’s College, winner of a local speech-writing contest, will deliver a speech titled The Role of Canadian Soldiers in War One.
During the ceremony, the names of one First World War veteran and 22 Second World War veterans recently identified as missing from the Brant War Memorial will be honored.
Summary: Brantford commemorates Remembrance Day with a cadet vigil, march, and ceremony to honor veterans’ sacrifices and keep their memories alive.
