Canon EOS R6 Mark III– 33MP Sensor & 7K Open Gate Internal RAW Recording - Newsshooter

Canon EOS R6 Mark III: 33MP Sensor & 7K Internal RAW Recording

Canon has introduced the new EOS R6 Mark III, a camera that closely resembles the Canon EOS C50 in features but is designed primarily for still photography. Despite this, it offers strong video capabilities.

The R6 Mark III succeeds the R6 Mark II, released just over three years ago, following the original R6 launched in July 2020.

Key Features

It’s interesting to see that the R6 Mark III and C50 don’t feature a Back Illuminated Stacked sensor like the C80 and C400, and R3.

One reason many companies now adopt back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensors is for enhanced autofocus performance.

Processor and Compatibility

The camera employs the DIGIC DV 7 processor, which is also used in the Canon C50, C80, C400, C500 Mark II, and C300 Mark III models.

Canon has announced the new EOS R6 Mark III. The EOS R6 Mark III shares a lot of the same features and functionality as the Canon EOS C50, but in a form factor that is better suited for still photography.

Overall, the EOS R6 Mark III balances high-quality still imaging with advanced video functions, making it a versatile tool for photographers and videographers alike.

Author's summary: The Canon EOS R6 Mark III merges a high-resolution 32MP sensor with advanced video capabilities like 7K RAW and 4K at 120p, offering a strong hybrid camera for both photo and video professionals.
