Big Brother Australia is officially back after a two-year break. The beloved reality show returns to Channel 10 with a fresh season the network promises will be “unscripted, unfiltered and unmissable.”
This year, the production moves back to its roots at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, featuring a newly built house. A group of diverse contestants will be live-streamed 24/7 for fans nationwide.
More than 20,000 hopefuls applied to join the reboot, leaving producers with a tough selection process to find the ideal mix of personalities for the show’s 17th season. The identities of the 12 housemates remain under wraps until the premiere on Sunday, November 9.
“Twelve housemates enter the house at launch… I think it’s a great cross range of Australians that will be heading into the house from all different walks of life, different ages.”
Host Mel Tracina shared this insight in an interview with TV Tonight, offering fans an early glimpse of the variety they can expect.
“We’ve got some that have admitted to being clean freaks, which I think will be very exciting to see unfold in the house.”
The 2025 Big Brother Australia season returns to Dreamworld with 12 contestants from across the country and promises authentic, round-the-clock reality TV.
